About Us

Abali Organic Tea Estate is located in the Lower Dibang Valley, in the easternmost part of India, on the foothills of the Himalayas in Arunachal Pradesh overlooking the mighty Brahmaputra River.

Established in 1998, Abali is the first Certified Organic Tea Estate in Arunachal Pradesh (since 2004). The estate is rooted in sustainability, tradition and natural farming practices.

Our Vedic & Organic Methods

Our teas are produced under the guidance of Swami Valmiki Srinivasa Ayangarya, following ancient Vriksha-Ayurveda practices.

These time-tested organic methods enhance soil fertility, balance soil pH, correct mineral deficiencies and naturally control pests without chemicals.

Artisan Processing

Tea leaves are processed in a mini unconventional factory designed by Mr. J.W. Steinherr of Shillong.

Withering is done near the Lohit River in traditional thatch houses using bamboo, cane wood and stainless steel ensuring purity and quality.
